ABOUT LAURA’S BOARD & TRAIN + STAY & TRAIN OFFERINGS:

Laura is proud to offer a 24/7 training & lifestyle experience like no other!

Your dog will live in Laura’s home, or, Laura will stay in your home, for a customized learning adventure that will support your dog’s needs, and help you fast track training success. Unlike some facilities where your dog is 1 of many, spends hours in a kennel, and only trains within the walls of a building, your dog will experience the love, comfort and one-on-one attention they deserve, in the safety of Laura’s home, or yours.

Laura understands life and it’s challenges — between kids, career, homeschooling, work from home, and trying to balance family and friend obligations, it’s challenging to find time to learn how to train your dog. Laura’s 24/7 experience involves multiple training sessions and field trips each day, combined with sufficient rest, plenty of play, individualized care and lots of cuddles.

FOR PUPPY PARENTS:

As a certified, experienced trainer who has helped successfully raise dozens of puppies, Laura will help you make the best of your puppy’s critical learning stage to get the training results you want in a fraction of the time and will provide continued help and support for stronger, lasting results. Laura only offers Board & Train for one (or sometimes two similar-aged) puppies at a time, to ensure that your fur baby receives the individualized care and attention it deserves, with multiple training sessions and field trips in a day combined with adequate play time. Laura’s Puppy Board & Train program is designed to focus on puppy appropriate socialization, problem prevention, grooming and handling, and of course foundational manners.

FOR ADULT DOGS, + DOGS PREPARING FOR SERVICE OR THERAPY WORK:

Our advanced Board & Train program can help take your good dog’s training to the next level, in preparation for therapy, service, canine acting or other task-specific work. Laura only takes 1 adult dog at a time, and loves teaching advanced concepts to support working dogs.

FOR ALL 24/7 TRAINING CLIENTS:

Leave it to a trusted professional to help you achieve your doggie goals- while you travel, or focus on other important things in your life. Laura will teach your dog 7 CORE CUES, including SIT, DOWN, COME, TOUCH, DROP IT, LEAVE IT, STAY along with whatever relevant cues may be helpful to accomplish your specific training goals. Your dog will be socialized with friendly people, responsible children, and trusted demo dogs, to help build confidence through positive interactions. Your dog will train in both nature and public places, to strengthen fluency in the midst of distractions. Your dog will travel in Laura’s secure and climate-controlled “dog van” in the safety of a crate. Your dog will practice recall skills, and work towards off-leash reliability. Your pup will have good manners reinforced throughout the day, to help nurture a thinking dog, who naturally makes smart choices.

All of this training will be done with love, respect, and kindness from a world-renowned expert with 20 years experience.

Board & Train Services:

• I’ll develop a customized training plan to help meet you and your dog’s training and lifestyle goals

• Your dog will live with me, for 24/7 supervised training, enrichment, exercise, socialization and implementation of training plan.

• We’ll spend 30 minutes each week for a private transfer session, to help you follow through with our training plan.

Board & Train Prices:

• Starts at $400/day for basic foundation training, therapy dog prep, advanced service dog task training and performance training for tv/film/print working dogs

• Starts at $500/day for puppies who are not yet potty-trained or crate-trained, and comfortable being alone in confinement for up to 3 hours.

• $700-$2000/day+ for dogs who are dealing with reactivity, resource guarding, separation anxiety or serious behavior modification work

• Can be customized to you and your dog’s particular needs, discounts offered for packages longer than 20 days

5 Day Puppy Board & Train Jump Start - $2500*

• 5 day + 4 nights, Monday morning until Friday afternoon

• Includes 1 complimentary transfer session

• Includes phone & text support

• May be extended at discounted day rate

• Initial consultation fee ($500+) waived

  *Rate for 8-10 week old puppies, older puppies rate may vary based on early training & socialization history

20 Day Puppy Board & Train Package - $10,000*

• 5 day + 4 nights, Monday morning until Friday afternoon

• Includes phone & text support

• Initial consultation fee ($500+) waived

• Includes 4 complimentary transfer sessions (either in the Pacific Palisades or via Zoom)

• Training days may be customized to your work or travel schedule

  *Rate for 8-10 week old puppies, older puppies rate may vary based on early training & socialization history
  *20 days must be pre-booked in advance, package expires in 60 days

*Stay & Train is available for current clients, please inquire for pricing and availability!

*Special Board & Train package pricing will be offered to repeat clients and service dogs

Board & Train Policies:

• Daily Rate determined by dog’s age, size, training history & behavior challenges.
  Initial 24/7 Rate may be reduced as dog’s behavior improves, and training goals are met.

• Board & Train and Stay & Train rates are based on calendar day, not 24 hour period.

  National holidays billed at an additional $1000.

• Weekly B&T consists of Monday am drop-off, bw 9am and 11am then Friday pm pick-ups, bw 12 and 3pm

• Board & Train reservations are booked with a 50% deposit, and the 50% balance due on Day 1, with any remaining services or product reimbursements billed on final day.

• For Board & Train, I offer Pick Up & Drop Offs, or you may bring your pup to me. 
  A travel fee applies to clients outside of the Pacific Palisades.

• The first day of any Board & Train / Stay & Train package may begin as early as 9am.
  Earlier start subject to $100/hour fee, billable in 30 minute increments.

• The final day of any Board & Train / Stay & Train package may finish as late as 5pm, (with Transfer Session 4pm-5pm.)
  Additional hours subject to $100/hour fee or additional day rate, whichever is less.

• Days Off and/or Visitation Sessions TBD based around Client + Trainer schedule
  (Hourly Rate + Travel Fees apply, for meet ups outside of the Pacific Palisades.)

• For Clients who request transportation to Veterinarian, Groomer, PT or Family Visits,
  additional hourly fees billed at $200/hour + gas will be included in final invoice.

• For Clients who require solo 24/7 training care separate from other dogs, a daily rate of $500 will be added to cover nanny & support services for Laura’s 2 personal dogs.

• Client must agree to reimburse any recommended training products (within reason), including treats, food, toys or other suggestions purchased by trainer during stay. Laura will request approval for any item over $100, or total purchase over $500.
