LIABILITY WAIVER & TRAINING POLICIES

Laura Nativo, CPDT-KA, KPA CTP will endeavor to create a safe, healthy environment for the training of my dog(s) and offer ethical, responsible and scientifically-sound training suggestions and lifestyle recommendations.
Laura Nativo follows the Humane Hierarchy for Dogs & LIMA Principles, considering your dog’s safety and emotional well-being throughout training.
I expressly and voluntarily assume all risk of injury while training my dog(s). I recognize that Laura Nativo is not responsible for the unintentional errors, omissions or incorrect assertions. I understand that the recommendation of any other product or service is not a guarantee of my satisfaction. Further, I am and will remain responsible for the actions of my dog at all times, and I hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless Laura Nativo of any and all claims of injury, expenses or damages caused by the actions of my dog while under the supervision of Laura Nativo, or under my own care as a result of following the training plan.
I understand the inherent risks of owning a dog, including but not limited to, the risk of dog bites to other animals, other people or myself.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL RELEASE

In the event of any injury, accident or medical emergency, while my dog is in training, I, along with my emergency contact, will be contacted immediately.
My dog will be transported to my veterinarian, unless otherwise instructed.
If the emergency is severe, Laura Nativo will contact the nearest hospital, transport my dog, and meet with veterinarians on my behalf until I, or a member of my family, can make it to the hospital.
I understand the rare but possible risk associated with caring for any living creature.
I agree to be financially responsible for the cost of veterinary treatment related to any injury, accident or other medical concern for my dog.
TRAINING GUARANTEE

I understand the behavior of a moment-to-moment, decision-making animal can never be guaranteed. Therefore, the success of my dog(s) is highly correlated to the amount of time I spend practicing the desired behaviors with my dog(s) and the degree of consistency family members and I employ.
I realize that my success is contingent on my family’s dedication to working with our dog on a daily basis, as well as my dog's genetic predisposition. I accept there are no guarantees with behavior modification, and will not hold Laura Nativo responsible if my dog does not reach our goals.
MEDIA RELEASE
I hereby give my full consent to any photos or videos taken of me, my dog(s), friends and family members (including minor children) by Laura Nativo, during our training.
I understand that any such photographs or video recordings become the property of Laura Nativo, and may be used without consent, for instructional, educational, or promotional purposes as determined by Laura Nativo in social or electronic media formats, now existing or in the future. Any content would be used in good faith, for the purpose of inspiring dog parents, through uplifting and positive dog training advice content.

PAYMENT POLICY

1. Initial Consult payments must be made upon booking to reserve your time.
2. Ala carte private training sessions must be paid in full within 24 hours of service.
3. Discounted training packages must be paid in full, at the time of purchase, and used within 6 months.
4. All 24/7 training packages are billed according to calendar day, regardless of pick-up or drop-off time.
5. For Stay & Train or Board & Train clients, I request a non-refundable 50% deposit, due on the date of booking confirmation. The 50% balance is due on pickup day, with the final balance of any additional services or product reimbursements due within 1 week of receiving the final invoice.
6. For Clients who require solo 24/7 training care separate from other dogs, a daily rate of $500 will be added to cover nanny & support services for Laura’s 2 personal dogs.
7. For 24/7 training clients~ National holidays are billed an additional $1000 holiday rate, as I plan holidays with my dogs and family to safely include your canine family in our festivities, or sometimes (depending on the dog) avoid holiday gatherings for your dog’s comfort.
8. Clients who request ongoing, indefinite 24/7 training care without a decided end date agree to give a minimum of 2 weeks notice for their dog’s final day, out of respect for my wait listed clients’ opportunity to schedule training in my calendar.
Any client who cannot give 2 weeks notice and request a last minute final day will be required to pay for an additional 2 weeks at their dog’s standard daily rate.
9. Payment may be made via Cash, Check, or Zelle, Direct Bank Transfer. Laura offers a 5% discount for invoices paid in cash. Credit Cards, PayPal and Venmo are no longer accepted due to service/platform fees.
10. Once payment for services is made, refunds are not offered.

CANCELLATION POLICY
*
A minimum of 48 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule a training session without penalty. A client may reschedule or cancel THREE scheduled private sessions with 48 hours notice, without penalty. All last minute or subsequent reschedules / cancellations will count as and be charged as a prepaid session in the training plan. It is imperative that sessions be scheduled on a consistent basis and in a timely manner.
All training packages must be scheduled within six months of purchase.
Failure to complete a training program within six months from date of the initial consultation may be construed as a termination of services and will relieve Laura Nativo from any further obligation to the client, deeming all paid fees non-refundable.
